As I was riding around the “A” last weekend, my vehicle attempted to notify me that it had a few malfunctions. Initially oblivious to the beeping, I continued bumping my music (I was singing B.o.B.’s I’ll be in the Sky by the way…) but soon noticed the flashing lights on my console. I proceeded to my destination since my car wasn’t driving any differently and cleared the warnings from the dash by pressing the lil buttons on my steering wheel. I had to laugh at myself cause I knew I was wrong….shiiish! but who has time to visit the dealership when so much is going on? I had places to go and my dependable vehicle was gonna get me there…or else!
I’ve decided to take it one day next week when I have some free time. Not the least bit worried about my transportation issues at all since, as I said before…the car is running just fine. But all weekend long, as I continued to clear all the warning signals, (4 malfunctions total) all I could think about was...”is this what you do? Clear YOUR warning signals without thinking?” Like for real, we get warning signals all the time and either dismiss them or ignore them completely. We continue to chug along cause things are running just fine…even though we could shut down at any moment.
Wow. What an profound thought to face in light of my poor car’s distress signals.
I think He’s been tryna tell me something and umma sit still and listen! I’m going to stop procrastinating and fix some things that have been malfunctioning. By the way, help a sistah out if you see me walking down the street. LOL

OMG!! Girl you just get deeper by the day!! LOL!!
Great blog! Very insightful.
Just keep a polished ‘damsel in distress’ act (aka Plan B) up your sleeve and you’re good. LOL.
