I apologize for my lack of posts here and over there…. but for the past few days my heart just hasn’t been in it. Hanging around all these cut throat “A”zz bloggers and media folk can get to a person sometimes. Especially when you aren’t used to playing these silly games. Most people who know me know that I’m a pretty upfront type of chick who tells you like it is and moves on. I share alot of myself, maybe a bit more than I should, but I feel that most people share a common human experience and I’m not phased or embarrassed about where I came from or how I got here today.

I laid low this weekend and decided to leave the entertainment scene to everyone else. I turned off my phone and chill-axed. It was great! I told a friend yesterday that you either have to play the game or get out, but I’m starting to realize that my “playing” doesn’t have to be by rules that were created by someone else. Don’t worry…I’m not leaving the game, I’ve just simply decided to change up my way of playing.

So many times, people will deceive you and befriend you, only to have their own agendas at heart. They use you for information and run with it as if it were their own. It’s so sad when one comes to the realization that people you’ve thought of as “friends” are merely acquantances who don’t deserve a better title.

*sign* you live and you learn.  I probably just need a vacation but my first step to getting my mind right will be Margarita’s this evening…with some of my REAL friends. Happy Cinco De Mayo!
