I bought into the whole "this is your life" expectations from my parents. I talk about it on my blog but basically for me it was about doing well in school, going to the "right college", getting the "right job"; living "the right life". But then I hit 30 and realized that I was unhappy with what I was doing and how I lived my life. I had no sense of self or what my passions were or how to work towards towards living a fulfilling life. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I can totally relate to what you are saying.
